Driver and courier terms
Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who carries deliveries through Unc Swift™ Pro, in addition to the Terms of service and the Privacy policy. "Driver" and "courier" mean the same thing here: the person who carries a delivery. Your app shows the word that matches your vehicle type.
Independent status
You carry deliveries as an independent contractor, not as an employee of Unc Swift™. You decide when to go online and which jobs to accept. You are responsible for your own vehicle, fuel, licences, insurance, taxes and any permits your work requires.
Eligibility and verification
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to work and to drive the vehicle you register.
- Every driver and courier provides a valid driver's license, vehicle details and a selfie. A national ID or passport is optional, but it speeds up verification and is required for Express jobs.
- If the vehicle is not yours, you give the owner's name and your relationship to them. The information you give must be true and kept up to date.
- We may ask for documents again, and may pause your account while they are checked.
Plans and subscription
You subscribe to a monthly plan. Basic drivers and couriers take orders and parcels by scooter or car; cargo jobs by bakkie or medium truck are for Express. Every plan starts with a 7 day free trial and is billed in USD through PayPal Subscriptions. If a payment fails, you get a short grace period in the app before order matching pauses and the account returns to the base tier until payment is resolved.
Carrying items
- Handle every item with care and keep it secure from pickup until the handoff.
- Do not open, use, swap or keep any item, and do not hand it to anyone other than the recipient.
- Complete the delivery by having the customer's one-time code verified at handoff. A delivery is not complete without it.
- You may refuse an item that appears unlawful, dangerous or not as described. Tell the customer or partner through the app, and do not carry it.
- Report damage, loss, a wrong address or any problem as soon as it happens, through the app.
Liability for items
Unc Swift™ is not liable for items that are damaged, lost or stolen while in your care or at any other point of a delivery. You are responsible for items from pickup until the handoff is complete. A claim about an item in your care may be made against you by the customer, sender or partner, and Unc Swift™ may share the details of the delivery with them to resolve it. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Earnings, cash and fees
There is no weekly payroll. You earn the delivery fee for every order you complete, credited the moment the customer's code is verified at handoff. On orders where you collect cash, the cash you owe is recorded in your Cash Ledger and is settled within the window of your plan. Orders paid another way at the door create no cash to hand over. Earnings statements can be downloaded in the app.
Safety and conduct
- Obey the law and road rules at all times, and never use the app while driving.
- Treat customers, partners and other drivers and couriers with respect. Harassment, threats and discrimination are not allowed.
- Anyone on a delivery can report another person with the red flag, with or without a message. Reports are reviewed by Unc Swift™, and repeated or serious reports may lead to suspension.
- Never share your account, and never share a customer's code or details outside the delivery.
Location and calls
While you are online and on a job, your location is used to match jobs and to show live tracking to the customer and the partner. Calls through the app are for the delivery only.
Suspension and ending
We may suspend or end your account for fraud, unsafe conduct, false documents, repeated complaints or breach of these terms. You can stop using Unc Swift™ Pro at any time and cancel your plan; amounts you already owe stay on your account.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The app asks you to read the updated version on uncswift.com and agree before you continue, and we record which version you agreed to and when. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
